Nuru Tours and Safaris – International Booking Terms & Conditions


1. Booking and Contract

All bookings made with Nuru Tours and Safaris become valid once a written confirmation has been issued by our reservations department and the required deposit has been received.
The person making the booking confirms that they have the authority to accept these Terms & Conditions on behalf of all persons included in the booking.


2. Payment Terms

A non-refundable deposit of 30–50% of the total booking value is required to secure all reservations.

The remaining balance must be settled no later than 30 days prior to the arrival date unless otherwise agreed in writing.

For bookings made within 30 days of travel, full payment is required immediately to confirm services.

Nuru Tours and Safaris reserves the right to cancel bookings if payment deadlines are not respected.

All bank charges related to international transfers are the responsibility of the client or agent.


3. Cancellation Policy

All cancellations must be submitted in writing and will be effective from the date received by Nuru Tours and Safaris.

Cancellation charges are applied as follows:

  • 60 days or more before arrival: Loss of deposit
  • 30–59 days before arrival: 50% of total booking cost
  • 15–29 days before arrival: 75% of total booking cost
  • 14 days or less before arrival / no-show: 100% of total booking cost

Please note that some lodges, camps, hotels, flights, and special activities may carry stricter cancellation policies, which will be communicated at the time of booking and will override the above conditions.


4. Amendments and Changes

Any amendments to confirmed bookings are subject to availability and may incur administrative fees or additional costs.

Nuru Tours and Safaris reserves the right to modify routes, accommodations, or itineraries when necessary due to operational requirements, weather conditions, safety concerns, or circumstances beyond our control, while maintaining the standard and quality of the services.


5. Prices and Currency

All prices are quoted in USD unless otherwise specified and are subject to change due to:

  • Government tax increases
  • Park fee adjustments
  • Fuel price fluctuations
  • Currency exchange variations
  • Supplier price revisions

Any such increases may be passed on to the client prior to travel.


6. Responsibility and Liability

Nuru Tours and Safaris acts only as an intermediary between the client and independent service providers, including but not limited to airlines, hotels, lodges, camps, transport companies, and activity operators.

While every effort is made to ensure high standards of service, Nuru Tours and Safaris shall not be held responsible for:

  • Loss, injury, illness, accident, delay, or damage to persons or property
  • Acts or omissions of third-party service providers
  • Flight delays, cancellations, or schedule changes
  • Events beyond our control including natural disasters, political unrest, pandemics, strikes, or force majeure

Participation in safaris, marine excursions, trekking, and other activities is undertaken at the client’s own risk.


7. Travel Insurance

Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for all clients traveling with Nuru Tours and Safaris.

Insurance should cover:

  • Trip cancellation and interruption
  • Medical expenses
  • Emergency evacuation
  • Personal accident
  • Loss or theft of personal belongings


8. Passport, Visa, and Health Requirements

It is the responsibility of the client to ensure they hold:

  • A valid passport with sufficient validity
  • All required visas
  • Necessary vaccination certificates and health documentation

Nuru Tours and Safaris cannot be held responsible for denied entry due to incomplete travel documentation.


9. Complaints and Claims

Any complaints during the tour must be reported immediately to the Nuru Tours and Safaris representative or guide in order to allow prompt resolution.

Claims submitted after completion of travel must be made in writing within 14 days after the end of services.


10. Force Majeure

Nuru Tours and Safaris shall not be liable for failure to perform its obligations where such failure is due to events beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, pandemics, civil unrest, strikes, or transport disruptions.


11. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania.
