With a high success rate, incredible scenery and low traffic from trekkers, Lemosho route which approaches Kilimanjaro from the western side offers the best trek to the roof of Africa. You can use up to eight days to climb which is highly recommended for the best acclimatization experience but others will use six days for which you need to be experienced with mountains. At Get You Travel we highly recommend this route and it is the route that most of the climber will wish to attempt since it is with beautiful scenery and offer the high success rate due to the number of days you will take to the highest point in Africa.
After breakfast in hotel, around 10 a.m to 10:30 a.m the driver will arrive to pick you up together with the rest of the crew and drive to Lendorosi gate. At Londorosi gate you will undergo some park registration procedure. From Lemosho gate you will be able to spot black and white colobus monkeys while trailing through the lush forest until arriving at big tree (Mti Mkubwa) Camp where you will get ready for your dinner and spend your night.

Today we will walk for about 8 km through the rain forest then to the savannah and rocky scenery while crossing different water streams before a walk down to Shira camp 1 where you will arrive and get ready for lunch, at Shira ridge you will have the best view of Kibo while enjoying the environment and keep having the best time with your crew and later you will proceed with your hiking to Shira Camp 2 where you will spend night.

Trek through the moorland vegetation and then the zone of giant heather and reach Shira Plateau which is one of the longest plateau on earth. This day is important since you will have a short acclimatization trek to the Lava Tower where you will have your lunch then later you will trek down while spotting amazing giant Senecio Kilimanjaro trees and soon arrive at Barranco Camp for the overnight while witnessing the best plain views.

After finish with your breakfast today we will have another adventure through the Barranco breach wall which is not that hard but yet technical as well as long and tiring then later we will trek down to the Karanga valley where we will rest and socialize and then later have dinner before getting back to your tent for the overnight.

After finishing with your breakfast, you will start following a path, which follows a gully. This path will take you up the ridge to the west until you reach the Barafu camp. Once arrived at the Barafu camp which can be extremely cold then you will have your early dinner and then go for a pre-summit sleep in the night which you can start around 11 to 12 am. Our guide will visit you before hitting the bed for checking on your required summit clothes. You will have your early dinner and then go for a pre-summit sleep until around 11 to 12 a.m before start trekking to Uhuru Peak.

Before leaving for Uhuru Peak, you will have a cup of coffee and cookies or biscuits. Put on the rest of the layers and be ready to conquer Mount Kilimanjaro. Temperatures at the top of Mount Kilimanjaro, the nights are really cold. Dress and cover yourself accordingly. Walk slowly and listen to your Guide's instructions. Expert to take six to seven hours from Barafu to Uhuru peak, The highest point in Africa, once at Uhuru peak you will be amazed by the breathtaking views and incredible sunrise if the weather permits then later you will descend down after having a short time at the peak and climb down to Barafu camp for a short break and then proceed to Mweka camp where you will spend your night.

After breakfast in the morning, you will then descend down to Mweka gate, once you arrived you will sign out and get presented with the certificates. The driver-guide will be there to drive you back to the hotel in Arusha together with the crew.
